We have been successful at providing older adult & shelter meals in New York City and have worked tirelessly to meet all the necessary requirements and standards. Gotham City Meals NYC facilities meet all City, State and Federal standards for food safety. We maintain all required permits and documentation. Cleanliness is a PRIORITY!

Gotham City Meals NYC shares in the values set forth by the Center for Good Food Purchasing. Many ingredients and products used are locally sourced, such as fruit, margarine, juice, bread, milk, chicken, fish and yogurt. We have established relationships with local farms and will continue to expand our local purchasing efforts.

Chef Martin Levin

Chef Marty

Executive Chef Marty Levin is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America with years of expertise acquired in some of New York's most distinguished kitchens.

Chef Marty is the Vice President of Food Service and Executive Chef for Main Event Mauzone Caterers and has been with the company since 2001. His responsibilities include Food Production Management, Menu Planning, Marketing, Catering Sales, Party Planning and manages over 8000 meals a day in five kitchens.

Chef Marty has been in the food service industry since 1982 and has certifications in safe serve management, food handler and allergens from the NYC Deptartment of Health.

David Itzkowitz

Owner

David has been building the Mauzone brand since childhood under the direction of his father, Phil Itzkowitz. David has inherited Phil’s high standards of quality and ethics, along with his compassionate nature, which permeates throughout the entire company. David’s experience has spanned decades and proven to be the glue that holds every aspect of the company together. His food knowledge is great and his business acumen greater.

David’s commitment to Mauzone, its employees and its customers starts as early as 3:30 AM and lasts sometimes until late into the night. David is a hands on CEO who sets an example for all to follow with no job too petty and no project too large for his team to handle with his support wherever it’s needed.

Elysa Dinzes

Dietician

Elysa Dinzes, MPA, RDN, CLT, is Gotham City Meals NYC's expert nutrition advisor. She provides consultation on compliance, food safety, efficiency, nutrition analysis, and menu planning.

As an authority in the field of nutrition and food policy for almost 2 decades, Elysa has worked with individual clients, food companies, government institutions, and not-for-profit organizations. Elysa's holistic approach combines her industry knowledge with her passion for eating delicious food.

Elysa is a Registered Dietitian and Certified LEAP Therapist. She received her Bachelor's degree in Nutrition from Syracuse University. She later went on to complete her Master's in Public Administration from Baruch College.

Honoring Our Essential Heroes!

Senior Response, a division of Kosher Response with Executive Chef Marty Levin of Main Event-Mauzone Caterers, went to honor and say thank you to the staff Catholic Charities of New York. These workers who deliver kosher meals daily to the senior citizens of NYC through the NYC Department for the Aging since the start of the pandemic have not missed a day. It was an honor to say thank you to them and show our appreciation with gift bags filled with lots of goodies for them.

Citi Field First Kosher Catered Event

Caesar’s Club at Citi Field Stadium, Flushing Meadow Park, NYC was the site for The Hebron Fund Annual Dinner in Tribute to Jewish Heroism. Hundreds of people attended this Kosher event catered by Mauzone’s Catering by Celebration. Under Strict Rabbinical Supervision of Vaad Harabonim Of Queens.

Hurricane Relief to Florida

We did it!!!!! Shelly and Jerry Abramson, Jerry Abramson's Matzafun Tours with the help of Mauzone / Main Event Caterers Chef Marty Levin and owner David Itzkowitz Hurricane Relief to Florida and the Island effected by Hurricane Irma is on the ground in Florida.
